A young family contacted me shortly before purchasing their new home. The house was new and partially finished, but it lacked a personal touch. Considering the European-Asian roots of the owners, we decided to enhance the existing space in the spirit of Japandi style. Together, we agreed on a warm, earthy color palette with oak wood finishes and natural fabrics. Some basic Ikea furniture pieces were upgraded with custom-made fronts. We also designed an oval table, which was crafted from oak wood by a local carpenter. The overall look was completed with black accents and Japanese artwork.
